Ann Fennell, M.S., CCC-SLP is a member of the clinical faculty in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders at the University of Iowa.  Ann has expertise in the area of voice disorders and specializes in working with professional voice users such as singers, actors and broadcasters.  Ann supervises graduate student clinicians working in the area of voice disorders both at the Wendell Johnson Speech and Hearing Clinic, The University of Iowa,  and in the Department of Otolaryngology, University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.

As a result of this activity, participants will be able to:

  1)      Interpret data gathered through history taking, perceptual evaluation, patient assessment scales and indices and  instrumentation.

2)      Learn to select and write goals specific to diagnoses in the categories of hyperfunction, hypofunction and functional voice disorders.

3)      Learn specific treatment techniques for working with patients with hyperfunction, hypofunction and functional voice disorders.
